There are some indentations on the back in the body contour. It has a gloss cherry sunburst top, with a gloss solid dark red finish on the rest of the basswood body. Multi-ply binding frames the birdseye maple, arched top.
The 21 fret maple neck has a rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot markers. There is obvious fretwear, but mostly in the 1st position. The electronics feature 2 original Ibanez Super'58 humbuckers, master volume & tone controls, & a 3 way selector toggle which is slightly worn & therefore slightly noisy. The locking bridge is the original Hard Rocker II model, the tuners are Smooth Tuner II's, & the knobs are Sure Grip II's.
The tremolo arm is also included. All hardware is gold & shows discoloration & wear. Ships in the non original, black plastic, hard shell, Freedom case shown. The neck is straight, the action good, the truss rod, & all electronics function properly.
